Andrew founded AKA MEDIA INC. in 1998 after seven years in the public relations industry at agencies including Golin/Harris Communications in Chicago and JohnstonWells Public Relations in Denver. His client list includes some of America's most respected brands, and his enthusiasm is what drives our company.
AKA MEDIA INC. President, Tim Parker manages client services and maintains our partnerships with a national network of production and distribution facilities and media relations specialists. Tim joined AKA MEDIA INC. in 1999, after five years of service with Fleishman-Hillard in St. Louis. His experience in developing and executing multi-faceted public relations programs provides a valuable consulting resource for our customers.
As Web Services Specialist, Brent uses his design and multimedia skills to develop Internet Press Kits and Social Media News Releases for our clients. Brent was a national finalist in NBC’s “The Office” YouTube video contest. Brent comes to AKA MEDIA INC. after working as a graphic designer in New Hampshire where he supported national retail clients. He received his degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont.
Senior Editor Myles is responsible for client video editing. Skilled in the latest non-linear editing technology, he has used his creative talents to produce broadcast news stories, commercials, corporate videos and half-hour infomercials for clients such as Harley Davidson, Kraft, Leo Burnett, and Draft Worldwide. Prior to joining AKA MEDIA INC. Myles was as an editor at The Film and Tape Works, Chicago's premiere post-production facility.
As an Editor, Kate has used her skills in the latest non-linear editing technology to complete projects for a wide variety of AKA MEDIA INC. clients. Her background in video production, multimedia and web development includes work for NBC, GSN, Dow Chemical and The Federal Reserve Bank. Prior to joining the AKA MEDIA INC. team, Kate worked for Chicago-based Manning Productions and Console Inc. in San Diego.
Vince brings more than 10 years of newsroom experience to his position as Media Relations Manager. His relationships with news producers nationwide help get our stories on the air from New York City to Los Angeles and everywhere in-between. Most recently, Vince was a Writer/Segment Producer for WBBM-TV (CBS) in Chicago after working for Tribune Media, where he produced feature stories for WGN and CLTV.
As an AKA Producer, Sarah Schalmo works directly with clients to consult and oversee a wide range of projects from concept development to results measurement. Her PR background provides a valuable basis for working with a diverse set of industries including consumer goods, food and beverage, and non-profit organizations. Sarah joined AKA MEDIA INC. after serving as President for the Public Relations Student Society of America at Southern Illinois University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations.
Stephanie serves as Media Specialist at AKA MEDIA INC. She is responsible for all aspects of satellite distribution, results measurement, and online distribution. Stephanie joined us after working both at Weber Shandwick for their client MilkPEP on their national grassroots Milk Mustache Mobile tour and as a production assistant on various commercial and television projects.
